Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at MCCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 60.4% of undergraduate students being women and 39.6% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 8,996, with 5,436 women and 3,560 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 58.1% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 5,218 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 14.6% of the student body, with 1,313 students. Hispanic students represent 10.0% of the population, with 897 students, while Asian students account for 6.2%, with 554 students. Mixed race students account for 4.7% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 423 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.2% , with 15 students.

International students make up 1.3% of the undergraduate population, totaling 113 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 5.0% of the population, totaling 448 students.
