High School GPA Calculator
How to Use the Calculator
The GPA calculator allows you to calculate your cumulative GPA (both weighted and unweighted) for your entire high school years.
- To get started, enter semester name in the input field that says "Semester name". This is optional. Enter the class you took in the "course name" input field.
- Select your grade and the class's credit hour. As soon as you entered these two info, your semester GPA and cumulative GAP will be calculated and get displayed.
- If the course you took weighs more than the regular classes, indicate the type of class under "weight" column.
- Repeat the above three steps for the reminder of the classes/courses you took in the semester. When you're ready to move on to the next semester, click the blue button that says "add semester". And repeat the above steps.
Grade Conversion Chart
We use the following conversion chart when calculating unweighted/weighted GPAs. The chart is one of the most commonly used among high schools. But as you may probably know the weight given to honor classes, AP, BI, College credit courses vary from state to state and from one school to another. So please keep in mined that our calculator may not show you your actual GPA if the weighting scale used by your high school is different than ours. For instance, if you are from South Carolina, this is the conversion scale used by all high schools in the state.
Incomplete(I) or Withdrawal (W) do not affect your GPA and all classes with a Pass or Fail grades are also not included in GPA calculation.
