Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at MCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 57.0% of undergraduate students being women and 43.0% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 8,721, with 4,974 women and 3,747 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 56.7% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 4,922 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 19.2% of the student body, with 1,670 students. Hispanic students represent 12.1% of the population, with 1,047 students, while Asian students account for 5.6%, with 486 students. Mixed race students account for 4.5% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 391 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 13 students.

International students make up 0.7% of the undergraduate population, totaling 65 students.
