Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at MGCCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 61.9% of undergraduate students being women and 38.1% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 8,208, with 5,079 women and 3,129 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 55.0% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 4,498 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 23.0% of the student body, with 1,880 students. Hispanic students represent 5.8% of the population, with 478 students, while Mixed race students account for 4.4%, with 362 students. Asian students account for 2.4% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 197 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 12 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 9.2% of the population, totaling 754 students.
