Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at CPCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 59.3% of undergraduate students being women and 40.7% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 17,208, with 10,204 women and 7,004 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 42.3% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 7,232 students.

Following closely behind are African American students, constituting 27.9% of the student body, with 4,769 students. Hispanic students represent 14.4% of the population, with 2,472 students, while Asian students account for 5.5%, with 948 students. Mixed race students account for 3.0% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 508 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 19 students.

International students make up 4.4% of the undergraduate population, totaling 759 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 2.4% of the population, totaling 408 students.
