Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at APSU is largely skewed towards men students, with 63.6% of undergraduate students being men and 36.4% being women. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 38,969, with 14,173 women and 24,796 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 49.5% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 19,182 students.
Following behind are Hispanic students, constituting 17.2% of the student body, with 6,646 students. African American students represent 15.5% of the population, with 6,013 students, while Mixed race students account for 4.7%, with 1,818 students. Asian students account for 2.7% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 1,037 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 1.0% , with 374 students.
